ROAD, Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources
ROAD, the Directory of Open Access scholarly Resources, is a service offered by the ISSN International Centre with the support of the Communication and Information Sector of UNESCO.ROAD provides a free access to a subset of the ISSN Register (1,7 millions of bibliographic records, available on subscription, see http://www.issn.org/en/understanding-the-issn/the-issn-international-register/). This subset comprises bibliographic records which describe scholarly resources in Open Access which have been assigned an ISSN by the ISSN Network : journals, conference proceedings and academic repositories. ROAD records are also downloadable as a MARC XML dump and will be available as RDF triples in 2014.The bibliographic records are enriched, when appropriate, by metadata about the coverage of the resources by indexing, abstracting, citation databases, registries and journal indicators.
Crossref (formerly styled CrossRef) is an official Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Registration Agency of the International DOI Foundation. It is run by the Publishers International Linking Association Inc. (PILA) and was launched in early 2000 as a cooperative effort among publishers to enable persistent cross-publisher citation linking in online academic journals.

International Society for Research Activity (ISRA) was founded by renowned scientist. A group of many scientist from various countries in different disciplines are started ISRA with specific objective of providing quality information to the researcher. ISRA offering academic database services to researcher. It’s mainly: citation indexing, analysis, and maintains citation databases covering thousands of academic journals, books, proceedings and any approved documents. All of these are available via ISRA's Web of Journal Knowledge database service. This database allows a researcher to identify which articles have been cited most frequently, who has cited them and find out the Journal Impact Factor (JIF). ISRA also publishes the annual Journal Reference Report which list an journal impact factor for each of the journals that it tracks. Within the scientific community, journal impact factors play a large but controversial role in determining journal impact factor to a published research record a list of over 1000 journals is maintained by the ISRA.
