Aziz CumhurKOCALAR
He was born in Istanbul in 1966. He is Assoc. Prof. Dr. in Niğde Ömer
Halisdemir University and reviewer of several scientific journals, expert in
international projects. He also worked as a specialist engineer for different
public/private sectors and also different academic positions during 38 years in
the several projects.
He has research experience in England (teaching-research), France (joint
project), Germany (research), as well as in Central Europe, the Balkans and the
Caucasus and some Asian countries.
He has experience teaching in Turkey since 2003. He lectures urbanism,
mainly human settlements, conservation, urban geography, rural sociology,
transportation, GIS, spatial data mining since 2012 year in Niğde and Sivas
(Turkey). He has been published more that 150 papers in respected journals,
conference proceedings and book chapters. His publications were related with
urbanism & urban studies subjects (Kocalar,
A.C. 2009-2024).
He completed his education at 4 different universities with different
diploma degrees (Ph.D. / M.Sc. / B.Sc. / B.A.) (YÖK Assoc.Prof.Dr.2020-CRP/ŞBP,
MSGSÜ Ph.D./Dr./Nat.Sci.2009-Urbanism-Şehircilik, YTU-M.Sc./Nat.Sci.1994-EE,

In 2009, He received his Urbanism Ph.D. degree in the Natural Science
Institute of Mimar Sinan Fine Art University. In 1996, he double-graduated from
the Business Administration (B.A.) of Anadolu University. In 1994, his master’s
degree (M.Sc.) from the Electrics-Electronics Faculty of Yıldız Technical
University. In 1986, he graduated (B.Sc.) from the Electrics-Electronics
Faculty of İstanbul Technical University.
